Things I liked about the Christmas Party:
Everybody was smiling
To see the kids having fun and being happy
Fabulous supportive people
Seeing everyone enjoying themselves knowing they all have a sad event bringing them all together
Good family fun
Playing with new friends
Meeting some new friends
So much for the children to do
Fun! I loved ever minute of it, so did my boys
We all love you
Santa was great
I loved everything!!!
Seeing the children smile – and the adults too
Every member of Edward’s Trust was smiling along with the families
The awesome staff – as always!
The layout of the room was so friendly
Meeting staff at the entrance
Getting the chance to meet other families
Things I would change about the Christmas party
Nothing! Big Thankyou
I would not change anything about it. It is wonderful in every way
Nothing, you are doing a fantastic job
The way you are funded – it should be a government funded project!
Not a thing!
On Wednesday 4th December, we held our annual Christmas party for bereaved children using our services. Held at Tally Ho Training Centre, children and their families were invited for an evening of festive fun, where they could also mix with other children who understand what it is liked to lose a close family member at a young age.
A DJ got the party into full swing unleashing bursts of snow from a snow machine. Elsewhere was a chocolate fountain, sweet counter, face paining and glitter tattoos. Mickey Mouse put in an appearance, dancing Gangnam Style and the Macarena with Santa Claus. After a Conga around the room, party games got underway. Three rounds of musical chairs (two for children and one for adults) got everyone feeling competitive, and brought out some bad behaviour from the grown ups! After games of musical statues and bumps, Santa handed out presents with the help of his trusty elf.
Hopefully,we have added a few extra smiles and some Christmas cheer to an otherwise difficult time of year.
